SCOOTERING SICILY — THE ITINERARY 18–23 April 2027
Five nights based near Sciacca, Sicily
Our last Scootering Sicily adventure was such a BLAST that we’ve been asked to do it again—so here we are! Our home for FIVE nights is a beautiful house outside Sciacca on Sicily’s south-west coast, overlooking olive groves, fields and the Mediterranean Sea. Unpack once, settle in and enjoy daily adventures together. Here’s our planned outline although the order of outings may change with the weather, scooter arrangements and what suits the group.
18 APRIL — WELCOME TO SICILY!
Fly into Palermo, collect our hire car transport and head to our Sicilian home. Settle into your room, enjoy the views and perhaps dip into the pool before getting together for dinner. Let the holiday begin!
19 APRIL — SCOOTERS & A LOCAL TOOTLE
Collect our scooters and enjoy an easy introductory ride to get comfortable with them. We’ll explore around Sciacca, with time for a coffee, a wander and our first taste of Sicily on two wheels.
20 APRIL — HILLTOP SICILY
A suggested ride inland to Caltabellotta, where a medieval village, winding streets and sweeping countryside views await. We’ll take our time, stop for photographs and enjoy lunch along the way.
21 APRIL — THE VALLEY OF THE TEMPLES
Our planned outing to the Valley of the Temples near Agrigento brings a different flavour to the adventure. Park up and explore the ancient Greek temples on foot, with time for refreshments before returning to our base.
22 APRIL — COASTAL EXPLORING & OUR FINAL EVENING
A suggested outing towards Selinunte, combining coastal scenery with the opportunity to explore another of Sicily’s remarkable ancient sites. There’ll be time for a leisurely lunch and a few more photographs before our final evening together. Scooter returns will be arranged around the hire company’s opening hours.
23 APRIL — ARRIVEDERCI, SICILY!
Pack up, say goodbye to our lovely base and travel back to Palermo Airport for our flights home—with plenty of stories to bring back! THE CHARLIEFARLEYS WAY Good company, guided riding, coffee stops, Sicilian food and time to enjoy where we are. This is a holiday, so we’ll keep the daily plans flexible rather than rush from place to place.
Your tour price includes five nights in your chosen accommodation, guided riding and coordination of the routes and group arrangements. Flights, scooter hire and car hire are additional costs. Meals, fuel and attraction entrance fees should also be budgeted for separately.
We expect to take a Ryanair flight out of Stansted at 0600hrs so you may consider staying overnight at Stansted on 17th April.
We will hire cars from Palermo airport to transport to Sciacca and keep them as back up for the week and to travel to Mt Etna and the Valley of the Gods.
