ALL THE WAY ROUND IRELAND THE LUCK OF THE IRISH 31 July–14 August 2027
14 nights. 8 bikes maximum, including Charlie F! 1 lap of Ireland and a LOT of stories waiting to happen! We’ll explore spectacular coastline, winding mountain roads, tiny villages and places where you’ll want to stop, switch off the engine and simply take it all in. And we’re not racing around Ireland just to say we’ve been there. With two-night stays in Letterfrack, Portstewart and Carlingford, there’s time to explore, try something different or enjoy a leisurely day.
DAY 1 — 31 JULY Holyhead → Dublin → Blarney
Catch the ferry from Holyhead to Dublin then we’ll head south towards Blarney, with a route through the Wicklow Mountains planned if ferry timings allow. Overnight: Blarney.
DAY 2 — 1 AUGUST Blarney → Mizen Head → Schull Harbour
An opportunity to visit Blarney Castle and kiss the famous Blarney Stone. Apparently it gives you the gift of the gab, so I’m thinking I must have kissed it in a previous life! Then we head towards the Mizen Head Peninsula and on to Schull Harbour. Overnight: Schull Harbour.
DAY 3 — 2 AUGUST Schull Harbour → Healy Pass → Portmagee
A day of coastal scenery and winding roads, including the wonderful Healy Pass, as we make our way towards Portmagee. Overnight: Portmagee.
DAY 4 — 3 AUGUST Portmagee → Ring of Kerry → Killarney
We explore part of the Ring of Kerry and ride towards Killarney, taking in Moll’s Gap along the way. Overnight: Charley Foleys Inn, Killarney.
DAY 5 — 4 AUGUST Killarney → Dingle
We make our way to the Dingle Peninsula, with the Conor Pass on our planned route, subject to weather and road conditions. Then it’s time to enjoy Dingle—and perhaps find a little Irish music for the evening. Overnight: Dingle.
DAY 6 — 5 AUGUST Dingle → Bunratty
Our journey continues north towards Bunratty. Fancy a medieval banquet at Bunratty Castle? This is the evening to consider it! Advance booking is required, subject to availability, and the cost is separate from the tour price. Overnight: Bunratty.
DAY 7 — 6 AUGUST Bunratty → Letterfrack
We head into Connemara, making our way to Letterfrack for a two-night stay. Time to settle in without having to pack up again the following morning! Overnight: Letterfrack.
DAY 8 — 7 AUGUST A day to enjoy Connemara. A free day to explore, relax or try something different. Perhaps riding Connemara ponies on the beach, a local visit, an optional motorcycle ride—or simply a leisurely day enjoying the surroundings. Optional activities are paid separately and subject to availability. Overnight: Letterfrack.
DAY 9 — 8 AUGUST Letterfrack → Killary Fjord → Mulranny
We ride through the scenery around Killary Fjord before continuing towards Mulranny. Mulranny is our overnight stop for exploring the Achill Island area, with the day’s riding arranged around the time available. Overnight: Mulranny.
DAY 10 — 9 AUGUST Mulranny → Mullaghmore
We continue north along Ireland’s western side towards Mullaghmore, enjoying coastal scenery and stops along the way. Overnight: Mullaghmore.
DAY 11 — 10 AUGUST Mullaghmore → Malin Head → Portstewart
An early start for a substantial riding day through Donegal, with Malin Head—the most northerly point of Ireland—on our planned route. We then cross into Northern Ireland and continue to Portstewart for two nights. Overnight: Portstewart.
DAY 12 — 11 AUGUST The Causeway Coast & NW200 roads
A day to explore the Giant’s Causeway, Dunluce Castle and Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge. And while we’re here, it would be downright rude not to ride the public roads that form the legendary NW200 circuit! This is a sightseeing ride at normal road speeds, with time to appreciate its racing history. Admissions are paid separately. Overnight: Portstewart.
DAY 13 — 12 AUGUST Portstewart → Antrim Coast → Carlingford
We enjoy the glorious Antrim coastline before continuing south to Carlingford for our final two-night stay. Overnight: Carlingford.
DAY 14 — 13 AUGUST Carlingford → Dublin → Holyhead
