With the Luck of the Irish we begin our adventure in Holyhead, Anglesey to catch the ferry to Dublin. Once there we point or bikes south to ride through the beautiful Wicklow Mountains and make our way to Blarney - with the obligatory opportunity to pucker up at the famous Blarney stone!
From there we head west and pick up some of the spectacular Wild Atlantic Way . Mizen Head, the Healy Pass, Ring of Kerry, Moll’s Gap, Dingle Peninsula and Conor Pass are just some of the roads and places we’ll experience along the way.
We continue north through Bunratty and into Connemara, taking in the Killary Fjord and some of Ireland’s incredible west-coast scenery before heading towards Achill Island, Sligo and eventually Malin Head - the most northerly point of Ireland.
Then it’s on to Portstewart for two nights, giving us time to explore the area and of course have a blast round the legendary NW200 road race circuit!
From there we have the opportunity to visit the Giants Causeway, Carrick-a Rede Rope Bridge and Dunluce Castle (for Game of Throne fans), before swinging southbound towards Dublin with a stop overnight at the pretty village of Carlingford.
Our final day takes us to Dublin where we’ll catch the ferry home after two weeks and around 1500 miles of riding around Ireland.
I’ve deliberately planned dates so that those of you who work can do the whole adventure with two weeks off - and still get home with a day rest before returning to reality.
